Bamboo Tiles 索子
Bamboo (索子) is one of the three numbered suits in Taiwanese mahjong, running 1 to 9. The 1 Bamboo is traditionally drawn as a bird rather than a single stick. Bamboo tiles form sequences and triplets; a hand made entirely of bamboo scores the 90-point Pure Suit, and bamboo with green dragons makes the Jade Hand.
